A few times a year I have the privilege of photographing the wedding of someone I met long before I started pursuing photography as a career. Mickey & I met while attending ASU. I was in the process of deciding whether I wanted to be part of the greek system & she played a huge role in my interest and ultimately desire to be part of a wonderful sorority named Phi Beta Phi. Although my time involved in it was brief Mickey’s friendship had a lasting impact in my life. When she contacted me to photograph her wedding I WAS FLOORED! She is full of life, personality & extremely kind. Her wit and sense of humor are contagious. After meeting Jordan it was absolutely clear that they were meant for each other! Jordan is charming and keeps those around him laughing. He is so in love with his bride. His reaction to seeing Mickey during their first look was priceless. Their wedding was packed with details and amazing decorations. It’s always fun to walk into a ceremony & reception site and feel completely overwhelmed with the splendor of it. I know hours were spent planning it and it is always a huge responsibility to document. A responsibility I love, of course! Mickey & Jordan were married in a candlelit ceremony at the historic Icehouse in downtown Phoenix. This was my first time shooting there & I am keeping my fingers crossed that it isn’t my last. I couldn’t get enough of this amazing property! Their reception had a elegant, contemporary vibe. Mickey & Jordan’s wedding was absolutely perfect. As always, I am humbled they had me photograph it for them. What a dream!
M&J~ I can’t think of a better way to ring in 2012 than celebrating with the two of you!
