If you have been staying up to date with our most recent adoption via Facebook or our personal adoption blog you probably have heard that we are now officially parents to an amazing 11 year old boy!!!!!!! Earlier this month we were in Ethiopia, Africa for 2 weeks adopting him & getting to know each other. We wrestled, had countless squirt gun fights, played soccer, laughed at dad trying to speak Amharic (their native language) & had an all around amazing time! Bek is truly a wonderful child. We are so blessed God chose us to be his parents! It definitely wasn’t what we originally had in mind for our family but so much better:) We are now waiting to clear US Embassy which will take about a month & then we will be headed back to bring him home! Everything has gone very smoothly so far & we pray it will continue to. There is nothing in this world that I am more passionate about than adoption & we are eagerly anticipating having another boy in the house!! I am way out numbered now…thankfully our dog is a girl;)
Here he is…our oldest son!
Thanks to my friends & fellow adoptive mama Jennifer for snapping the above pics!
John & Bek hit it off right away. Seeing them together made me fall more in love with my husband than I thought possible. There truly isn’t anything more attractive to me than seeing my man being an incredible father to my mini men!

This is the face of a boy I will most likely have the hardest time disciplining…I can’t believe I will get to look at that smile everyday soon! Blessed mama right here.
We fell in love with Ethiopia during our visit. Everything about it captured my heart, the people, culture, food, smells…did I mention the people? 😉
